Max. 27325 posts · Joined 2003. #18 · Oct 6, 2006. The v-rod does not have a speed regulator, it is geared to run out of rpm before it could go faster then the speed rating of the tires. Kaz ran 201 using different gearing that allowed much higher top speed. He was also running a modified motor and a much larger turbo. A '02/'03 bike will top out at about 149mph (30T front pulley), and '04 and newer (28T front pulley) are 7% lower regardless of what's indicated on the speedometer.
